Alignment based yoga focuses more on attention to detail than attention to movement! We intentionally set up each pose from the base and focus on aligning the bones. When the bones are aligned the wear and tear of gravity on our bodies is much less. Alignment based yoga is all about forming new habits in our body and creating intelligent movement for the muscles tissue and skin! Appropriate for all levels. A strap will be helpful for this class! This class is a 65 minute challenging flow class similar to our hot yoga/power flow classes. Includes centering, core warm up, vinyasa flow, balancing practice, seated twist & savasana. Two blocks or something to hold on to might be helpful for this class. I also included a reading about Parinama, which mean transformation in sanskrit. Setting an intention to see how we can be transformed by the changes that happen on our mat and in our lives.
